B. Helmet (bicycling, roller skating or other similar fall protection types ok)
C. Neck Guard (hockey style ok prefer with bib)
D. Gloves (baseball, hockey, winter or leather work gloves ok)
E. Knee pads
F. Shine guards or pads
G. Full length shirt and pants
H. Pants should be stretchy and allow for freedom of movement
I. Water bottle
J. Eye protection recommended but not required

A. If you are skating in any Short Track or Long Track Competition that US Speedskating or OSA sponsored/approved then you must have

B. If you are skating for recreation locally at Cleveland Heights and plan to pay via walk-on fee then you must have

3. Can I just show up to try out?
A. No, please contact any of the club coach/officers by phone, email or after any practice session to discuss skills and goals. 

4. When do I start using Speed Skates?
A. If you are a previous Speed Skater then you may use then immediately.
B. Upon Coach’s review or skills and approval.

5. Where do I get Short Track Speed Skates?
A. You may rent them from the Cleveland Heights Speedskating Club for 1/2 or full season.
B. You can purchase from other skaters, ask around.  Local bulliten board. Know your size first
C. You can purchase them from equipment suppliers.  Most major competitions will have 1 or 2 vendors onsite.  Great chance to try on various models and sizes.
D. Ebay or other online sellers.  Buyer beware. Research the equipment before buying and know your size in that equipment.
